On Thursday 20th VA from primary school and IA from lower secondary school met for a joined lesson: it was a very inflamed game of question/answer matching sentences . As usual my students from IA helped preparing the material in advance.

Today my students from IB Lower secondary school are meeting the pupils of VA Primary School class for a lesson about giving personal information and introducing oneself. For the occasion, my students and I prepared these funny identity cards to play with.
Last week all our classes from Bassano R. Lower Secondary School participated in two interesting events. IA, IB and IIA went to our school in Oriolo R. to meet the author, Patrizia Rinaldi, whose book, Il Giardino di Lontan Town, the students were reading these past months. I was not at the meeting, so some students wrote about it: A Meeting With The Author by Vittoria C. - IIA At 9:00 am of 30th March my class and I went to Oriolo for a meeting with the writer of The Garden of Lontan Town. We stayed in a big room with a small palc for about half an hour, then the author, Patrizia Rinaldi, arrived and we sat on the chairs. She seemed a serious woman, but she was funny. She talked about her experience as a writer and she answered to our questions. She talked about her life, too. She talked about the power of imagination. I understand her: I love reading. I liked this meeting. I'll read her books! A Book Review by Alessandra C. - IIA Title: Il Giardino di Lontan Town Author: Patrizia Rinaldi Genre: teenager story Mea is a teenager who has to move from Italy to Lontan Town. At the beginning, she doesn't seem to have many friends, but it is only a blessing in disguise, because, after a while, the situation changes. I read this book in one month. While I was reading it, I thought about how my life would be if I were the protagonist because, in some part of the story, I could be like her. This book, in my opinion, is simple, maybe even too simple and, in some parts, a bit boring and repetitive, even though, overall, I liked it. Our two third classes, instead, participated in the "Urban Game" as part of their course on bullyism, so here is their narration of the day: URBAN GAME written by Vanessa D. and Serena F.- IIIB Last Wednesday we participated in a game focused on bullying: the Urban Game. At 9:00 a.m. we went to the computing classroom, where the organizers explained the rules of the game: they divided us in teams and gave us some tablets to direct us on the path to follow and the tests to pass along the way. We faced a lot of tests: finding some spots and draws against bullying, answering some questions about the behaviour of the bully and taking photos and videos about knowing how to oppose this phenomenon. After that, we went to the House of Cultures where there was a refreshment for the teachers, the participants and their parents. Here we did a flash mob, in which we danced with a sign on which it was written "bullying, last stop". Finally, we entered a room where we made a summary on what is bullying with the psychologists and we watched the photos we took in the morning. We think that this project was very important to us, because we are teenagers who are facing a delicate period of our life. We hope that this idea will be re-proposed in the following years, because, this way, bullying will be fought. |
